I did order the wings and have found them to be a tad difficult to use for heavy (printer, etc.) items. What I tried was to place them above the desktop and used neoprene rubber and nylon washers in an attempt to"level" them. I They seem to work ok but still could use additional support. I think a vertical support beneath the wing that clips into the precut shelf slots could be provided to correct the wonkiness (yep, that's a valid description).
Overall, I like the desk. Wings need a tweak. (I can send a photo if you let me know where to send it).

Thanks for the review. Glad to hear you like your desk but sorry the wing shelves haven't worked out as planned. Yes they can be frustrating and do at times need readjustment. Have you checked out our video on how to get them flat? The trick is to get the taper key down as far as possible, by wiggling the wing as you press it down. Brilliant. Just like the original WFH desk, ordering and then unpacking and assembling were all so easy (bordering on fun.. this is flat pack 2.0!) the wing shelf and top shelf have elevated (badumtish) my desk, and given me room for more plants (wing), plus a full size screen (top). Super strong and really nice to look at too!

I liked the minimal look of the wing shelves, but they aren't the most useful addition I've bought for my WFH desk. These will work great for lightweight items with flat bottoms, like magazines or books. They don't feel stable enough for anything heavy or fragile.

These shelves really took my desk up a notch. I was able to accessorize with books and use one for my laptop so as not to crowd my desk space.
